Sheffield Hospitals Charity
A full rebrand and ad campaign for one of Sheffield’s longest standing charities
The Sheffield Hospitals Charity are one of the longest standing charities in Sheffield, investing more than £2.5 million each year to support the work of NHS Hospitals in Sheffield, ensuring local patients receive the best possible treatment and care. Despite this, the charity found their brand was unclear and faced a lack of connection with the city. The charity brought on Field to begin a full rebrand with the purpose of increasing understanding of the charity's work, growing their income and widening their presence within the community. The SHC brand now brings together all dimensions of the charity’s activities, from funding research to emotional and practical support, in a cohesive and considered way.
A tab shaped marque is used throughout the brand, including in the logo where it is repeated to resemble a flower, a simple symbol embodying nature, growth and kindness. This delicate approach is also echoed through typographic treatment with Castledown chosen as the core typeface for its rounded, friendly letterforms.
In conjunction with the rebrand, we orchestrated a sustained advertising campaign involving traditional billboards, animated digital ads and social media strategy. As part of the campaign, we art directed a series of photoshoots, highlighting the stories of people who have been directly helped by the charity. Our work with The Sheffield Hospitals Charity is ongoing, including ad campaigns and print projects which continue to be a great success, securing new target audiences and driving increased traffic to the website.
