The Sheffield College is a leading UK full-time and higher education provider, delivering thousands of courses with access to world-class facilities to more than 16,000 students every year. Field has worked closely with The Sheffield College for over 5 years, continually developing design approach, co-ordinating research-led advertising campaigns and evolving the college’s communication strategy to adapt to an ever shifting marketplace.
As part of this, we develop and manage sub brands, taking a considered approach to ensuring that each has an identity and separation while working within the wider College hierarchy system.
The Sixth Form Sub brand is a bold, dynamic visual identity, extending across printed material such as prospectuses, spatial design and signage, and digital platforms such as website design. The brand employs dynamic shapes and bold colour while the logo is informed by iconography synonymous with education. The logo references the idea of a number six in roman numerals and can also be viewed as a stack of colourful books, echoing back to the college’s focus on core maths and english skills.
